Reality

What is real? Touch your arm with your finger. The molecules of your fingertip collide with the molecules of your arm. If the molecules of either were just slightly less densely packed, they would simply pass through each other. The new year comes tonight at midnight here, but it is already tomorrow in a different year in Australia. And, on another planet in the Universe, it is not anything at all. In my practice, I try to remember I can play with reality by simply expanding my view. If I become too convinced that anything in my life is unwaveringly real, despite the stupidity of this idea in the sense of the greater Universe, I get too focused and lose sight of the forest. I try to keep my own understanding of reality running along with the so-called objective reality at all times. This requires daily practice, and it is hard. But, it is worth it.
