Walking
Walking, simple walking, is a form of practice. Walking along the same roads daily provides the walker with exercise, brain oxygenation and acute awareness of ease of breathing and one's environment. The seasons become evident to the walker. The rotation of the earth becomes evident as the light changes with the seasons. The position of planets, the stars, the sun and the moon become part of daily life. Yes, the walker becomes more in touch with the planet and the Universe. Most people who begin the habit of walking tend to fuss over the particular route they choose. This becomes unnecessary with time. The body, attuned to walking, chooses its own paths to and from home after a while. Directions become second nature in the walked landscape. Begin to walk every day, and the Universe will seem a more hospitable place.
