Violence

America is a violent place. Murders, domestic abuse, bashings. Guns, sanctified by its Constitution. Is it any wonder we are the nation to go head-to-head with a world religion based on violent retribution, conquest and conversion? Two similarly violent cultures fighting it out. Our Vice President recently shot a friend. Looking at that event in a simple factual way brings to light just how violence-tolerating American society is. The man is still the Vice President. No charges were filed. It was dismissed as an accident. No biggy. This is simply wrong. This is simply uncivilized. Peace will only truly be achieved when violence is no longer tolerated and guns are no longer esteemed.
