YES. FASCISM IS AFOOT IN BOSTON.

We went into the center of our city, Boston, today. We call ourselves Bostonians, even though we were both raised in cities around its edge. Our generation, baby boomers, always thought of ourselves as Bostonians if we grew up within a wide radius of that city. The city's character dominated all our lives. It was history, heritage, American to the core.
I say "was". Today's Boston is no longer that Boston of higher education and even higher manners. Discretion and tolerance went hand-in-hand in my Boston. The rowdies of Southie. North End and Charlestown in my day represented the low-brow lunatic fringe. Their world view was not charmingly provincial. It was truly racist, truly homophobic and truly sexist in thought and deed. Those thugs, primarily Caucasian, actively patrolled their neighborhoods in gangs. They fought with each other, but they had common enemies. They closed ranks against those enemies. just as effectively as any fascist youth gang of an earlier time or Antifa group today.
Today I witnessed a city unlike my Boston. It was an armed camp. Police and city workers had cordoned off all major streets around Boston Common with cruisers, fire trucks and dump trucks. Pedestrians were scurrying around barricades and hostile-looking uniforms. A discernible fringe of ragged student-aged late adolescents wove around on bicycles and on foot alone or in gangs. They were arrogant and angry with no apparent reason to be.
When we came home, I researched what we had walked through unwittingly. A free speech rally had been called on Boston Common through legitimate civil means. Yes, a free speech rally had inspired this martial presence of authority on every corner. Imagine. Here in Boston, free speech had frightened the police into deploying an army to fend off potential violence against it. And that violence came.
Out of Roxbury, thousands of young people marched to the Common to protest against free speech. Their twisted assumptions, no doubt stoked by professors, politicians and ministers who have jumped on the celebrity of the Black Lives Matter movement for their own advancement, had stirred them to anger and action. Demagogues of The New Left, the Antifa anarchists, who are morphing into the very fascists they fear the most, revel in these situations.
Boston's media and its authorities have aligned themselves against free speech. They have convinced themselves they are in the right by falsely equating free speech with racism, sexism and homophobia. Some accepted young "protesters" convey their message by masking their faces, like ISIS maniacs. They shout anyone down whom they identify as "the other" in hive-like fashion. They physically bully, verbally abuse and violently attack peaceable people whom they decide are against their world view. They have been filmed doing this with impunity in front of police over and over again.
I am not surprised police side with these free-speech-silencing fascists here in Boston or anywhere else. They see the future foot soldiers of government domination. When the government someday returns to the globalist fascism of the Obama years, these troops will be in place to silence anyone who wants to maintain an independent mind about money, politics, governance and/or society.
This Boston is not the Boston of The American Revolution. This Boston is becoming ruled by those who despise what The American Revolution actually established, a country freed of state religion, aristocratic ideologies and militarily enforced conformity of opinion. These misguided young people are digging a grave for democracy and freedom without even knowing it.
