ROAD TO FREEDOM
Freedom is not granted from outside. It is developed on the inside. The courageous liberator of others must first liberate himself/herself.
Here in the U.S. we are experiencing a manufactured race war. Corporately owned and controlled media are promoting this race war every day. It is a proven tactic for dividing a society and rallying the ignorant to tribal banners. Tribal conflict dissipates any one mass movement to pressure the political-financial establishment for the betterment of an entire society. Climate change, nuclear threat, war as political-economic tactic ... these can all go on as usual as long as the people are divided.
Like the contrived new Cold War with Russia, this media race war is largely the work of The Left, represented politically by Democrats. The irony here is obvious. Using Russian espionage as a false flag to rally more impressionable Right Wing citizens to the Left Wing Democrats in the upcoming 2018 elections is politically perverse. But perversity has become the standard for Left Wing politics which include using violent (Soros funded) Antifa thugs to be their Brown Shirts against opposition voices. Ernst Rohm, leader of those 1930's German Fascist gangs who terrorized Jews, Catholics, homosexuals and Communists, was himself a homosexual. This is interesting in that the fascist behaviors in society today are supported on The Left by so-called LGBTQ+ activists.
I believe the vast majority of Americans across races have not swallowed this poison pill. They did not swallow it in the late 1960's and early 1970's, when similar contrived movements used violence and terror to promote racial tensions. If those tactics had worked, terrorist Assata Shakur would not have had to flee to Cuba. Angela Davis, associated with the murder of four people in a Marin County courtroom in 1970, would not have been acquitted by the U.S. legal system. That was almost half a century ago.
Educated and successful African-Americans like Larry Elder, who speak truth against contrived race war, are demonized by Left-leaning (Left-owned) mass media. These outlets gravitate to talking heads who propagate racial hatred and the myth of mass racial persecution in the U.S.. These 'experts' will not discuss violence perpetrated by people of color against people of color. Instead, they foster the myth that people of color are primarily victimized by White Americans. They also couch the issue of mass illegal immigration in falsely racial terms. Promoting anti-White racist bigotry is their obvious goal. It is hard to imagine what end this is in aid of, other than venal politics.
The Obama presidency facilitated this malignant process, in my opinion. From its beginning, which was due to support from both White voters and minority voters, suggestions of a post-racial America were squelched with vehemence in mass media by old-guard Democrat African-Americans (e.g., The Congressional Black Caucus) who had built fat careers on race conflict since the 1960's. For example, Al Sharpton, a divisive pundit exposed in the 1980's for promoting a fraudulent race-baiting case in New York City as an attorney, re-surfaced under the wing of the Obama administration as a omnipresent, reputable Black leader.
The hip-hop music scene, associated with the greater entertainment establishment (Hollywood), which had risen in part through racist, sexist and homophobic gangster rap, immediately latched on to the new race branding, highlighting racial difference over speaking to the overall human experience. The Obamas did nothing significant to contradict this and other neo-racialist cultural trends. In fact, they, like the Clintons, are still using racial identity to rally people of color to the Democrats. Party loyalty of this kind is tribal and has nothing to do with good governance, based in science, Constitutional Law and rational decency. It is loyalty based in racialism.
The road to individual freedom is discovered in part through intelligent exposure to a wide swath of humanity and human ideas. Subsequent reflection and research into the meaning of personal experience in social context can lead an individual's footsteps away from tribal one-think to an open horizon. As the trappings of family and tribal indoctrination fall away, the journey to freedom of the mind becomes lighter. This takes many years for most of us, even with intentional effort. The mindless spend their lives circling within a dark jungle of lies, fear, rigid tradition, self-defeating repetition of bad choices, and superstition.
Conformity is not mindful unity. Insulation within a group motivated by fear of disturbing speech and challenging ideas is not freedom. It is the cowardice of the rioting mob. Governments do not bestow freedom. Countless self-liberated individuals have died fighting governments, even farther back than Socrates. Some have done so in an attempt to liberate others who would follow them. Admirable but, I'm afraid, futile in the long run of history. Freedom must be built by each human mind capable of intelligence and intentional action. While the example of a liberated mind from the past may inspire, it is up to each of us to find our own way to the ultimate freedom within.
