I turned 21 in 1971. I consider the accident of that chronology a great gift as a gay man. Stonewall awareness had dawned on most American coastal cities. The Castro Clone culture was in its infancy. Gay Pride became the name of a movement, not an annual street fair. It was a transformation of Gay Liberation, a movement patterned after the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's. It was a movement to inspire homosexual men to liberate themselves from living closeted lives, persecuted by family, religion and law. Its greatest weapon was individual public self-exposure, coming out, as a homosexual in family, at work and against prejudicial authority.

I bear personal witness that this movement was overwhelmingly male. Neo-feminist revisionists would indoctrinate their man-loathing acolytes with a perverse history of the so-called LGBTQ+ melange. They would have the gullible and poorly educated believe that women liberated gay men. This is absolutely false. In fact, many feminists of the time of Gay Liberation were not only man-loathing but also homophobic against gay men and lesbian women. And I know this because I and my friends, male and female, traveled through the protest circles of the time.

Gay Liberation grew out of a foundation movement which began in earnest after WWII in urban America. The Mattachine Society was founded in the year of my birth, 1950. It was founded by intellectual homosexual men and women, whose camps had not yet been clearly segregated by feminism. The formation of regional societies grew over the following decade. Modest protests were held throughout that period. These were sedate protests with men and women in business attire, holding placards. The courage this took in the McCarthy Era and thereafter is inestimable.

Stonewall resistance to police corruption and brutality in Manhattan was the spark which launched a new era of protest, especially for homosexual men. Police forces and politicians nationwide had exploited gay businesses, primarily bars, for decades both financially and politically. As the African-American minority asserted its resistance to oppression in the 1960's, the oppression of male homosexuals intensified in urban America. Male homosexuals, a traditional object of heterosexual bullying, were still easy targets, in the corrupt minds of political, legal and medical authority. Police raids and public humiliation of homosexual men arrested in bars or cruising areas were regular fodder for TV news and press alike.

The Castro Clone culture of the 1970's spread nationally and intimidated the heterosexual establishment of major U.S. cities. Gay venues flourished with the emergence of a huge customer base, unashamed and ready to party. Politicians and police were cowed into rolling back puritanical zoning restrictions and most likely got used to taking much smaller bribes, if any. The viral nature of gay male liberation in the Castro Clone Era has fueled speculation that HIV was intentionally and covertly introduced into the gay male community of the late 1970's by conservative government operatives. Whether there is any truth to this conspiracy theory or not, HIV stemmed the tide of a burgeoning gay male movement in the U.S. and globally. 

From the ashes of the AIDS epidemic rose the Human Rights Campaign and other national lesbian-gay lobbying organizations. The power shifted to greater equity within the homosexual population between gay men to lesbian women. The Gay Rights Movement became the Lesbian-Gay Movement. Soon it morphed into the LGBT Movement. Now it continues to snowball as it has come to represent a conglomerate of disenfranchised minorities within minorities. 

AIDS left a gay male population which had not been killed and had been made stronger in many respects. The ability of the gay male population to remain out and active throughout the epidemic is a largely unrecognized feat of remarkable strength and courage. Gay men and lesbians came forward and helped their own when the general population turned its back on HIV-infected people as lepers. Medical establishments had to be bullied into stepping up to combat the epidemic. 

Hospital staffs were panicked. AIDS patients were isolated and allowed to die horrible deaths in isolation. The impact of these horrors once again brought homosexual men together against the heterosexual establishment, led at its top by Ronald Reagan, whose election had been cinched by the Moral Majority, fundamentalist Christians united in a political lobby to push back against the liberation of homosexuals and women's rights. 

It has been a twenty-year march back from the devastation of the gay male population by AIDS in the 1980's and 1990's. And look what has been accomplished. Homosexuals have more legal equality in American society than ever before. But the so-called LGBTQ political and academic vanguard have gone madly astray. They are aligned with radical Leftist politics, the politics once used to persecute gay men ruthlessly in nations where they took control. Marxism is no friend to gay men in any form. The purging of the socially liberal Trotsky-ites in the early USSR made that very clear. China's denial of the existence of homosexuals in The Peoples' Republic until recently also has made that very clear as well. Authoritarianism thrives on sameness. Homosexuals are simply not the same as the greater human majority which is heterosexual or bisexual. 

Man-loathing has become associated with the current feminist politics exemplified by the MeToo and ANTIFA movements. In universities, professors of Diversity and Multiculturalism and LGBTQ Studies are preaching a gospel of White-man-loathing. Western Civilization is being torn to shreds by the teaching of revisionist histories. The same Western Civilization which brought the Constitutional freedoms and higher education for its leaders that made the Gay Liberation Movement possible in the first place. 

The sight of a blue-haired, depressed, intentionally effeminate man-boy holding a placard denouncing masculinity as evil is nauseating to this campaigner for his right to grow up as a functional man in a predominantly heterosexual society. He has been deprived of his true cultural history and has been force-fed a false history by man-loathing professors and their acolytes. This is another result of the devastation of AIDS on the intelligent gay male population who held positions of social and cultural power. The vacuum their early deaths left behind has been filled by these twisted Marxists who would equate LGBTQ with some warped form of flattened social justice, visualized as the destruction of merit and individual excellence in favor of some misguided racial, genital or ethnic payback against The White Man. A perpetual cultural tantrum. 

Man-loathing homosexual men are by definition dysfunctional human beings. Their disease is worse than the vague 'homophobia' they prattle on about. They loathe themselves to the very core of their inherent humanity. Unless awakened, they are doomed to never contribute or receive love or compassion in their lives and in society.
