JUDGING THE JUDGE
Have you ever opened a law book? They look pretty on the shelf. Bound volume after bound volume of statutes and precedents. But, have you ever tried reading more than a few pages of one? It takes a particular mind to master Law.
The nomination of Judge Kavanaugh by Donald Trump has evoked the usual reactionary outrage. Brett Kavanaugh is a threat to whatever, according to The Left side of the political spectrum. This formulaic outrage is losing its punch. Especially in the case of Judge Kavanaugh.
This Jesuit-educated graduate of Yale Law School can hardly be viewed as a radical anything. If any educated and sane person takes the trouble to watch the video of Kavanaugh's debut as a Supreme Court candidate, I would suspect their fears would be squelched. I am an atheist/agnostic gay man. I had no great fear of the man's judgment after watching him reveal his background. I managed to see beyond the somewhat saccharine pro-female family-values script.
The extremity of Clinton, Bush and Obama hypocrisy has brought us here. Twenty-four years of domestic inaction and externalized aggression has its price. Clinton, Bush and Obama colluded with the international banker-investor class to globalize America at the cost of our middle class. The ivory towers of Harvard and Yale backed them all the way. Yes, the same people who today decry Trump's attempts to correct the course in favor of the American middle class.
Obama's Nobel Peace Prize was a bad joke. It enabled him to unleash his pit bull, Hillary Clinton, on the world to right some imagined colonialist injustice in the 21st century. Obama was more loyal to raising up the Islamic Third World than to his own nation's well being. And that was a total disaster. Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Egypt, Yemen ... all worse off during the Obama years. Hillary whizzed around the globe in luxury like the evil witch in Oz with a private jet. Dark clouds followed in her wake.
The intelligent global elite are having a breakdown. Rightly so. Their alliances with global bankers and petrochemical kings have proven disastrous for their national populations, who are waking up from the opiate of fake news (corporate propaganda). Those 'deplorable' populations are angry. The wave of reaction is mounting out at sea. It is likely to become an electoral tsunami which may well wipe those responsible away.
The crude outcries against a decent man like Kavanaugh are offensive. They reflect the kind of bigotry The Left is always harping on about. Rather than arguing the merits of Judge Kavanaugh's resume as an established jurist, The Left and Left of Center are tarring him with the same brush they have been using on President Trump and his staff. It is purely selfish manipulation and an insult to the intelligent electorate.
