SAY "YES." TO ISOLATIONISM
An example of confusion over isolationism, nationalism and globalism. |
There are many kinds of isolation. For example, isolation during the early stages of a contagious epidemic can save lives and economies. Isolation has been associated with depression as well. However, isolation alone does not cause depression, while it may exacerbate its symptoms. Hermits and meditating monks have led happy lives for millennia in stark isolation. Their choice of isolation from tribal distractions of war, politics and venal competition for dominance has created art and wisdom, lasting through the ages.
I am in favor of political isolationism for the U.S. in these times. This will probably cause a flush of outrage among the multiculturalists and militarists alike. Their outrage would be needless, because I am not advocating for shutting down cultural exchange or eliminating our military. On the contrary. I believe our nation would flourish culturally if all the money we are now spending on failed multicultural 'openness' by allowing millions of uneducated illegal immigrants into the U.S. were spent on educating, really educating, our internal population. I also believe our military could be magnificently re-tooled as a defense force, rather than the anemic aggressive juggernaut it has become.
Think of it. Our public schools might return to enabling excellence and begin directing qualified students into the STEM fields, rather than spending expensive time and resources on ESL classes for children of millions of illegal immigrants, who will most likely never catch up to contemporary global education standards in their lifetimes through no real fault of their own. Well educated minds in this age of information will naturally become fascinated with cultural diversity. Now we import cultures as some misdirected urban display of globalism which does not educate as much as corrupt our own American culture. An American culture, itself quite diverse, does exist despite the denial of its existence by globalist elitists.
I can hear the groaning out there among the indoctrinated, who think our current multicultural stance on immigration and education is angelic and globally superior. Well, you are wrong. Look at this article which surveys philanthropy by individual choice in national populations. The United States is not even in the top 10. I speculate that this is an indication of the misdirected use of our tax money to create a society plagued by illegal immigration and homelessness.
Our military's health is a common political chestnut used to get the attention of Americans. "Thank you for your service." has become a common automatic greeting upon introduction to any American military veteran, despite the common knowledge of the damage done by the current use of that military abroad. Our phobia as a nation about letting go of international dominance has been manufactured by the influence of dark forces upon the media. Our military has been used by our corporations to further their interests abroad.
An argument can be made that President Trump's mobilization of military units to the southern border currently is a more appropriate use of our military, which is the most highly funded expense of our annual national budget by far. After all, would you hire security guards to protect the homes of your neighbors before securing your own property first? Of course not.
Part of the misguided multiculturalism of the U.S. government today entails doing just that. We are spending huge sums of money and personal capital on bases around the world. If there is a fight, we are poised to stick our noses in with a misguided attitude that we will always pick the ethically correct side. This has not been born out by an accurate survey of our military history. The irony of this post-traumatic position, left over from the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 and the post-war battle over Eastern Europe, is that is has positioned us as being just as imperialistic as the Japanese who attacked us. It supports the generally proven wisdom that the abused can readily become abusers.
Isolationism by way of retracting our military umbrella from other nations would actually be progressive. It would deescalate situations around the globe. Would China want to waste massive amounts of its GDP on military hardware if there were no U.S. presence in East Asia, for example? Even if you think they might, wouldn't handing over our military strength in the region to the partners who now host our presence there solve that problem? The basic threat to humanity is not posed by navies and ground troops. It is posed by nuclear missiles, situated right here in the U.S..
Once we have secured our nation, reduced our military spending and adjusted our internal budgets accordingly, surplus money would be available for public transportation, health care, education and affordable housing for our own population. This would not require a socialist revolution. In fact, it would be closer to Libertarian-capitalist common sense with the added benefits of investment in raising the general quality of life for all Americans by reinvesting the taxes that are paid by Americans into their own society, not as forced charity but as shared prosperity and investment.
This is not the the future of the U.S. envisioned by U.N. or E.U. bureaucrats. They have no intention to support a thriving United States. They resist any attempt by America's politicians to turn off the tap of military subsidies to developed European and Asian countries. They urge America to open its door to a flood of undocumented migrants. This is their recipe for gutting the independence of the U.S. population from the elitist global plans. There is no benevolence wasted on working American citizens by globalist manipulators.
Saying "Yes." to a constructive form of isolationism, not fascist nationalism which turns to conquest outside its borders, is in the interest of loyal American citizens. Ideological fascism is currently taking the shape of globalist socialism which seeks to level individual freedoms and achievement with globalist-collective bullying. This fascism is cleverly being sold to its thuggish proponents in mobs who are ignorant and pliable. They have been lied to by organizers and professors. They actually believe their fascist tactics in favor of international collectivism are anti-fascist. This is how propagandists have always manipulated impressionable minds.
