as you were born with a sex
in your mother's belly

do not blame me for being
in my own sex as it's been
since my birth, no different

do not blame me for your pain
coming from others, not me,
who themselves are pained

do not blame me for not bowing
to your self-centered world
while mine spins on its own

do not blame me for disliking
your angry whining in my face
with inconsolable demands

alone at your own insistence
