SCHEMERS, NOT DREAMERS

The current mass invasion along the U.S. southern border may seem just fine to some social justice mobsters. After all, they condone rioting, looting and arson in the name of their various causes. Their lack of investment in culture, heritage and applied learning disqualifies them as credible judges of anything. They are narcissistic whiners with too much time on their hands. And that luxury of leisure time for plotting and acting out is provided by the very things they describe as unjust.

Much has been said about Dreamers, the progeny of previous illegal migrants into our nation. Dreamers are not the children of validated asylum seekers. Their parents broke the laws of our nation by coming here illegally with their children. These children, of course, should not bear liability for the poor manners of their parents. They should be given the opportunity to join our nation as citizens, provided they are not felonious or are engaged in some form of work or higher education leading to employability. 

Today's invasion on the U.S. southern border is another matter. 

Much heartfelt media whining is done in support of "mothers" in the underdeveloped countries from which today's invaders spring in the millions globally. There is even support for mothers who send their children to our border alone from hundreds of miles away. This astounds me. What kind of woman first has too many children to support and then sends those children alone across treacherous terrain to a country that does not want them? 

Today's American feminists are supportive of this process. The same American women who are angrily defensive over their rights to indiscriminate sex, birth control and abortion. I suppose they see the "mothers" of children abandoned to criminal coyotes and American human traffickers as less capable of sound reproductive decisions as they are. Or do they see all those mothers as helpless victims, less competent or responsible human beings than the new American woman who is equal (or superior) in all ways to men? 

Perhaps pink-hat feminist demonstrations by these enlightened Americans should be held in Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador, rather than here in America where they already have equal rights under law.

If conditions are so bad in Nicaragua, Honduras, and other nations to the south, why are their birthrates so high? And, if the conditions are so bad in relation to corruption and drug violence, why aren't all these able-bodied young men staying at home to change things for the benefit of their own families? If things are so bad, why haven't they stood up and changed them? Are able-bodied young men who run from the challenges of their own homes going to be stalwart additions to the fabric of America? 

I speculate that most of these unwelcome invaders on our southern border are not dreamers, but schemers. Unaccompanied pre-adolescents are most likely tools of families back home or of drug cartels or both. If they succeed at staying in the U.S., they can eventually bring their whole family here permanently under the guise of family tourism. Their family can then simply stay and access all our tax-paid social benefits. Or, the more sociopathic pre-teens may become permanent agents of the Central American drug cartels here in our cities.

Young able-bodied invaders are rushing here at a time when our unskilled labor market is saturated due to the collapse caused by the global pandemic. Whole families with pre-school children are coming here out of simple ignorance. They have most likely misunderstood the immigration issue but have listened to rumors of streets paved with gold and endless welfare benefits. They will hardly be in a position to add to the value of our nation. The reality is that we are currently broke.

The Democrat schemers in the U.S. Capitol are more than willing to exploit these invaders for later political support. The Republican schemers are too detached from the lives of these invaders to sit down and formulate a sensible way to support them in their home countries while utilizing them here where possible as contributing legal immigrants by way of a fair and expeditious application process, oriented to finding them employment. 

The reasons why previous waves of legal immigration worked are clear. First of all, there was a defined need for the labor and skills immigrants could provide to the nation's businesses. Business worked with the immigration system that was in place. Today's contracting services are not doing this. They are exploiting an ever-growing pool of unskilled illegal migrants, allowed to flood into the U.S. due to a poorly maintained border. The operators of these contract services are schemers indeed. 

Perhaps scheming is inevitable when the human population exceeds the bounty available to support it. This is certainly true now in nations which have been exploited by corrupt leadership throughout time. As the bounty shrinks relative to human population, corruption will increase at the top everywhere. We are seeing the evolution of this in Washington, DC, the nation's wealthiest city per capita. The corrupt make decisions for the many without regard. They feel immune to the consequences.
